Spring Activities

May Fete Parade

Addison participates in the Palo Alto May Fete Parade every year. PTA volunteers work with the students to create a parade float featuring their artwork and crafts. All Addison students and families are welcome to march with the float!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Parents and children take a week to show their appreciation of Addison’s teachers in May. Room parents generally organize each classroom’s teacher appreciation activities. Parents also host a luncheon for teachers that is organized through the PTA.

Is your child a baseball fan? Does he or she love to sing? Based on availability through the SF Giants, Addison Elementary School students may once again have the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at AT&T Park at a San Francisco Giants game! All students grades K-5 are welcome to participate, and tickets are available for families to purchase. Come and watch our singers, cheer on the Giants, and enjoy the game with the Addison community.

Field Day

The PTA creates an all-day field day event for the students during the last week of school. Parent participation makes this a special event for the children and parents.

5th Grade Graduation

Each year the 4th grade class hosts a graduation reception for 5th grade students and their families. The event is partially funded by the PTA and organized by 4th grade room parents and volunteers.

The yearbook is a fun tradition at Addison, and students look forward to getting the yearbook at the end of each year.
